Event Background and Details

The Outlying Islands Women's Association (OIWA) will host the "Green Christmas . Love in Action" at Nina Park from 24 to 28 December. Based on ESG principles and aligned with the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the event aims to promote green, low-carbon living, foster community integration, and offer warmth and care to the public during the Christmas season.

The event focuses on showcasing local agriculture, interactive natural ecology, and environmental technology experiences, combining heartfelt activities with inclusive performances, allowing the community to experience a new low-carbon healthy lifestyle together during the festive season.

The "Green Christmas . Love in Action" centres on three main themes: (1) promotion of local agriculture and green eating, including herbal tea tastings and local ingredient experiences; (2) introduction to natural ecology and biodiversity, helping participants understand natural cycles and micro-gardening; (3) environmental technology demonstrations to showcase low-carbon homes and innovative eco-friendly products. Through diverse experiences and programmes, the event not only promotes community integration but also enhances public awareness of environmental issues and healthy living, advocating for support of local social enterprises, agriculture, and the circular economy to practice sustainable development.
